Bike routes in the Laurentians

Road biking in the Laurentians represents an unparalleled experience for cyclists of all levels. The Country Tour is an intermediate bike route that covers 59 km. It explores the Lower Laurentians and offers the perfect opportunity to discover all the culinary attractions of the Chemin du Terroir. Discover captivating sites, picturesque hamlets, and savour the delicious and traditional products of local producers. Make sure to take a cultural detour along the Seigneury of Argenteuil, an easy, 42-km route that is perfect for discovering the municipalities and surrounding areas of Saint-André-d’Argenteuil and Lachute. Soak up the view of Carillon Canal National Historic Site with a well-deserved picnic, before getting back on your bike. Finally, explore the Pays-d’en-Haut over 38 km of paved roads and gravel cycle paths. Starting in Sainte-Adèle, visit Piedmont, Saint-Sauveur, and Morin-Heights to stock up on one-of-a-kind souvenirs!

Continue your discovery of the Laurentians over the 40-km La Bucolique bike route. Consisting of a loop around Huberdeau, Amherst, and Brébeuf, the route is an opportunity to admire the magnificent rural landscape. It also follows part of the Route des Belles-Histoires, whose historical theme showcases the region’s forest, farming, and tourist development. Next, head out for adventure with the Mont-Tremblant Ride! Over 51 km, the ride passes through the various sectors of Mont-Tremblant, La Conception, and Labelle, providing loads of opportunities for outdoor activities to enhance your outing! Finally, The Twin Covered Bridges is 43 km of landscapes in the heart of the Upper Laurentians, shaped by the Lièvre River. Bike along the shores of the Kiamika River and the vast and peaceful Écorces Lake, and discover this incredible farming valley, as well as the picturesque covered bridges in Ferme-Rouge. These six suggested road biking routes let you explore the Laurentians from south to north. The proposed itineraries have been verified in collaboration with Vélo Québec and include sections on roads and on cycle paths.

The P’tit Train du Nord

Looking for the perfect cycle path for a family outing? Discover the P’tit Train du Nord! This easy, accessible, and one-of-a-kind bike path follows 234 km of an old railway, between Bois-des-Filion and Mont-Laurier. Along your way, visit our lively towns and villages and discover heritage train stations, restaurants, and lots of other activities. If you’re hoping to bike the entire path, plan your bike outing now and use the Autobus le Petit Train du nord to carry you, your bags, and your bike. A vast selection of accommodation is also available, all located near the path and making for an unforgettable experience.

Cycle paths by bike

Biking on the region’s cycle paths is the perfect activity for a family outing, couple’s getaway, or to recharge in the heart of nature. Discover the La Seigneurie des Plaines cycle path, a 21-km cycling network passing through the cities of Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines, Blainville, and Terrebonne. The Halte Desjardins, located on the shores of the cycle path, features picnic tables, drinking water, and bike rentals. Further north, the Parc du Corridor aérobique offers a 58-km route that follows an old railway and passes through incredibly colourful scenery. From Morin-Heights to Amherst, experience total nature immersion on your bike! It’s a small piece of paradise for cycling enthusiasts of all ages and all levels. Your mountain biking destination

Mountain biking in the Laurentians is an unmissable experience for outdoor and adventure lovers! With its many trails, the region is an immense playground with mountain bike trails for all skill levels and preferences: forest paths, multi-use trails, cross-country and enduro mountain bike trails, freeride downhill trails, and mountain bike parks. Whether you’re looking for adrenaline, a challenge, or simply a different way of exploring the region, the Laurentians are the perfect location for your next mountain bike outing. Visitors both young and old will love to practice their sport in a captivating scenery!

Bike rentals, also a possibility!

Hybrid bike, e-bike, or mountain bike: if you don’t have gear, several businesses in the region offer rentals. In Saint-Jérôme, head to Autobus le Petit Train du Nord or even Cycles Cadieux, located near kilometre 0 of the P’tit Train du Nord. They have plenty of great options. Directly on the P’tit Train du Nord path, Espresso Sports in Sainte-Adèle offer half-day or full-day rentals for hybrid bikes, e-bikes, and mountain bikes. The shop also offers repair and maintenance services. Looking for a good e-bike or thinking about buying one? Visit Le Rechargeur store in Sainte-Adèle for the necessary recommendations. To rent bikes and electric scooters directly on the P’tit Train du Nord path in Mont-Blanc, discover Location Geebee.
