Local hoteliers in the spotlight at...

A selection of high-profile Fijian hotel owners will take to the stage next week at the highly anticipated AHICE Fiji Islands Investment in Tourism Summit.

On Thursday June 26, local representatives from a broad spectrum of hotel businesses including owner groups, developers, operators, tourism and investment associations will share their expertise and business outlook with delegates.  

Jenny Seeto, Investment Fiji

Representing Investment Fiji, a co-host of the event, will be Board Chair Jenny Seeto, and, Chief Executive Officer, Kamal Chetty, Investment Fiji, while Brent Hill CEO of Co-Host Tourism Fiji will present the Fiji Tourism Industry Outlook, live from Adelaide.

AHICE Group President James Wilkinson will sit down with Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort and Spa Owner, Jay Singh, to discuss the property which opened last year following a multi-million-dollar transformation.

Kamal Chetty, Investment Fiji

Lee Pearce CEO of Fijian hotel owner and operator Raffe Group will speak as part of The Essential Hotel Operators Outlook For 2025. Raffe Hotels & Resorts owns and operates three iconic properties in Fiji, Plantation Island Resort, Lomani Island Resort and Fiji Gateway Hotel.

Rob Cecconi, Owner and Managing Director of adults-only offering Tropica Island Resort will take to the stage as part of a hotel and tourism outlook, with Chief Operating Officer, Leigh Howard, lending his views to the South Pacific Tourism Outlook.

Kamal Haer, Fiji Airways

Fiji Airways Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, Kamal Haer, will sit down with AHICE Group President James Wilkinson for a Q&A session covering the travel and aviation landscape.

Also on the travel and tourism front will be Vanuatu Department of Tourism Senior Business Development Officer, Mark Kalotap.

AHICE Fiji delegates will hear from local developers and designers including Joel Radford, Chief Investment and Asset Officer, Richmond; Lawrence Ellison, Lead Project Manager, Lautoka Foreshore Development; Steve Howard, Developer, Vanua Ranch; and Vijay Sharma, Principal, Sharma Design Group.

A number of local general managers will be in attendance with Carey Osborne, Cluster General Manager – Fiji, Hilton and Lachlan Walker, Regional General Manager Fiji & Pacific, IHG Hotels & Resorts taking part in panel discussions.

The three-day program runs from Tuesday 24 June – Thursday 26 June at Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa and includes a Winemaker Dinner and Charity Golf Day.

AHICE Fiji Islands was first launched in 2023 and attended by almost 100 leading hotel owners, operators, consultants and suppliers from across Fiji and the Asia-Pacific region. The event returned last year with almost triple the numbers. This year is expected to be bigger than ever, having already doubled registrations on last year.
