Our region boasts a vibrant culinary scene with Asian Fusion restaurants that combine the various cuisines of different Asian countries to create dishes that will satisfy your taste buds. Whether indulging in a sushi roll or savoring a spicy noodle bowl, you are bound to have a memorable dining experience. 

Here are five restaurants to add to your list:



1. Red Ginger 

Open since 2007 in the heart of downtown Traverse City, Red Ginger has a metropolitan atmosphere paired with Asian cuisine that is deliciously satisfying. Order off the dinner menu that features small plates, salads, and entrees. If you are looking for sushi, check out their special menu with signature or traditional rolls. Step inside to be seated in the restaurant, or at the bar top to watch as a line of cooks make your sushi roll. 




2. Firefly 

With its big windows overlooking the Boardman River, FireFly offers a diverse menu with a mix of small plates, sushi, sandwiches, and entrees. With a fusion of American and international cuisines, stop in to sip on a craft cocktail, local beers, a glass of wine, or one of their famous martinis. 




3. The Good Bowl 

Known for its authentic Vietnamese cuisine, The Good Bowl specializes in fresh, flavorful traditional dishes right here in northern Michigan. The restaurant is celebrated not only for its food but also for its commitment to social good. They donate $1 to a charity selected by guests for every bowl sold.




4. Full Send Ramen 

Parked at The Coin Slot on Front Street is a food truck you need to stop at for a taste of some Japanese ramen. Full Send Ramen prides itself on its rich, flavorful broths and noodles, while offering a variety of options to suit all tastes, including vegetarian and vegan choices.  




5. Thai Café 

Known for being the go-to spot for Thai Cuisine, Thai Café offers a wide array of traditional dishes such as Pad Thai, Kow Pad, different flavors of curry, and Tom Yum Soup. Located in the Campus Plaza, stop by to take in the delightful and flavorful journey of Thailand’s rich culinary history.
