Riyadh Air and GE Aerospace sign 5-year partnership

Riyadh Air partners with GE Aerospace, adopting advanced software solutions to enhance safety, optimize fuel use, and boost sustainability in aviation operations.

Riyadh Air announced a five-year agreement with GE Aerospace for the adoption of its suite of flight operations software solutions: Safety Insight, Fuel Insight, and FlightPulse. This strategic partnership will equip the new Saudi Arabian airline with data-driven analytics to optimize fuel consumption, enhance safety measures, and fortify its sustainability initiatives.
With Fuel Insight integrated into its operations, Riyadh Air aims to position itself as a leader in sustainable aviation practices. The airline will leverage Safety Insight’s real-time Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) and Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA) solutions to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality across its advanced fleet.
FlightPulse will give Riyadh Air’s pilots the technology to interactively explore and gain insight from their own flight experiences and operational performance. Through the application, pilots can identify opportunities for improvement and help maintain best practices in safety and efficiency across the airline’s flight operations.
“At Riyadh Air sustainability and efficiency sit at the core of our operations. Our collaboration with GE Aerospace represents a significant advancement in adopting state-of-the-art technology to enhance safety protocols, streamline fuel usage, and uphold our dedication to operational excellence as we are currently preparing for flight trials and working towards obtaining AOC certification starting September 2024.” said Mr. Peter Bellew, Chief Operating Officer of Riyadh Air.
Andrew Coleman, General Manager, GE Aerospace, Software, said, “At GE Aerospace, we’re committed to leading a digital transformation in aviation, finding better solutions, and creating efficiencies that solve our industry’s greatest pain points. With an incredible partner like Riyadh Air, we are thrilled to see our decades of research, development, and innovation empower their transformative digital journey to help them set new benchmarks for operational excellence, safety standards, and more sustainability in the skies.”
