The Bay was buzzing with nostalgia a few months ago when the Apple Express once again pulled into Port Elizabeth. The official Facebook Page of the Apple Express said, “Even though the Apple Express is not operating, while the future of the line is being considered, the shed has been busy and we have our second locomotive in steam. For the first time in more than 20 years, the Humerail Narrow Gauge Depot has TWO locos in steam – simultaneously!”

The 30 000 hectare Groendal Wilderness Area is the only legally-proclaimed wilderness in the Eastern Cape, rich in fauna and flora with about 180 bird species recorded.
